Subject Overview

You will become familiar with the connected and complex challenges that affect the world right now. Through exposure to law, politics and other subjects, you will be able to assess the goals and strategies adopted by entities on the global stage, including governments and NGOs.

Knowledge and Skills

As part of a Bachelor of Global Studies majoring in Global Politics and Human Rights, you can become familiar with the connected and complex challenges that affect the world right now. Through exposure to Law, Politics and other subjects, you will be able to assess the goals and strategies adopted by entities on the global stage, including governments and NGOs.

Potential Careers

As a Global Studies graduate, you will be a competent global citizen. In addition to language skills and related regional knowledge, your research skills and strong practical knowledge will prepare you for leadership roles in a variety of sectors including foreign affairs, NGOs, international media, education and tourism.

Complete 150 points comprising:

  • 15 points for all Politics Compulsory Course, and
  • 15 points for all Philosophy Compulsory Course, and
  • At least 15 points from Stage I Elective Courses, and
  • 60 to 105 points from Additional Elective Courses

Selected courses must include at least 45 points at level 300 or higher.
