Attendance is at least 4 hours at scheduled activities including lectures/tutorials to complete components of the course.

The course will not include live online events including group discussions/tutorials.
Attendance on campus is required for the test.

Course materials are made available in a learning and collaboration tool called Canvas which also includes reading lists and lecture recordings (where available).

In this course students may be asked to submit coursework assessments digitally. The University reserves the right to conduct scheduled tests and examinations for this course online or through the use of computers or other electronic devices. Where tests or examinations are conducted online remote invigilation arrangements may be used. In exceptional circumstances changes to elements of this course may be necessary at short notice. Students enrolled in this course will be informed of any such changes and the reasons for them, as soon as possible, through Canvas.

At the end of every semester students will be invited to give feedback on the course and teaching through a tool called SET or Qualtrics. The lecturers and course co-ordinators will consider all feedback and respond with summaries and actions. Your feedback helps teachers to improve the course and its delivery for future students.

Class Representatives in each class can take feedback to the department and faculty staff-student consultative committees.

What aspects of the course were most helpful for your learning?

• The tutorial session on Tuesday with my group supervisor. This was a valuable opportunity to get one–on–one feedback.
• The weekly meeting with the industry contact gave us good direction and advice
• Dealing with industry was interesting. Working in a group for the whole semester was also unique.
• scheduled meetings, the time slot means no one can claim to have other courses going on
• Final report.

• the lectures themselves were uninteresting and a lot of the content seemed unrelated to the project
• the industry contacts treat us and the project like after thoughts. We sent 2 follow up emails a week for 10 weeks, as well as asking in our weekly meetings and only received the necessary data just days before our final report submission.
• I felt like the projects weren't necessarily equal. Some teams had purely research based projects while others had a physical component to it as well.
  
• Also, it was pretty unclear what was expected in reports. I understand that all projects are different and it's hard to communicate whats actually required, but I think releasing an exemplar or more clear marking rubrics would've been more helpful.
