Lectures will be available as recordings. Any other learning activities that might be included in the course (e.g. seminars/tutorials/labs/studios) will not be available as recordings.
The course will not include live online events.
Attendance on campus is required for the test.
The activities for the course are scheduled as a standard weekly timetable.

Taught courses use a learning and collaboration tool called Canvas to provide students with learning materials including reading lists and lecture recordings (where available). Please remember that the recording of any class on a personal device requires the permission of the instructor.

All the slides shown during the lectures, including worked examples and extracts from previous exam papers and solutions, will be made available on canvas. This material (where the students are encouraged to add further comments to the documentation made available), supported by the explanations given during the lectures, is the main learning resource, and it is appropriate to support the course and prepare for the assessments and final exam.

Students may be asked to submit assessments digitally. The University reserves the right to conduct scheduled tests and examinations online or through the use of computers or other electronic devices. Where tests or examinations are conducted online remote invigilation arrangements may be used. In exceptional circumstances changes to elements of this course may be necessary at short notice. Students enrolled in this course will be informed of any such changes and the reasons for them, as soon as possible, through Canvas.

Students must sit the exam to pass the course. Otherwise, a DNS (did not sit) fail grade will be returned.

A passing mark is 50% or higher, according to University policy.

Late submission penalties will be applied as stated on Canvas.

Feedback on taught courses is gathered from students at the end of each semester through a tool called SET or Qualtrics. The lecturers and course co-ordinators will consider all feedback and respond with summaries and actions. Your feedback helps teachers to improve the course and its delivery for future students. In addition, class Representatives in each class can take feedback to the department and faculty staff-student consultative committees.

The 2024 SET evaluations were very positive with statements like "“The props and examples that he brought to lectures were very helpful for understanding how the content was applied in practice. Similarly, the photos and real life mission examples included in the slides were interesting and helped give context for the content." Some students mentioned that two consecutive hours of lectures are difficult to follow, and although there is a little few minutes break in between, my plan for next year is to have a longer break. Given the positive feedback on the content, no need to introduce changes on this.

Class representatives are students tasked with representing student issues to departments, faculties, and the wider university.
